FC Westchester will conduct its next round of tryouts for its U16 and U18 Boys U.S. Soccer Development Academy teams on Tuesday, July 8 at 6 p.m. at the club’s soccer complex at Purchase College, SUNY on Anderson Hill Road in Purchase, N.Y.  Tryouts will run from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

U18 tryouts are for those born in 1991 and 1990; U16 tryouts are for those born in 1992.

Here is the status of each boy’s team tryouts in the U10-U14 age groups:

o  Players selected for the U10 team have been notified by email.  Details are in the email.

o  To see the numbers of those selected for U11 team CLICK HERE .  Emails with follow up information have been sent out...if you didn’t receive an email, email lonnyu@optonline.net right away.

o  For the U12 tryouts:  the team manager -- via email -- has been in touch with those who made the team and those who did not make the team.

o  For the U13 tryouts:  emails should be going out shortly.

o  For the U14 tryouts:  the coach will contact those who have or have not made the team and discuss possibility for a further tryout.

The specific birthdates for each aged team for the 2008-2009 season are as follows:

• U10 August 1, 1998 to July 31, 1999
• U11 August 1, 1997 to July 31, 1998
• U12 August 1, 1996 to July 31, 1997
• U13 August 1, 1995 to July 31, 1996
• U14 August 1, 1994 to July 31, 1995
  
  

FC Westchester holds open tryouts each year for all our teams. Tryouts are usually held in mid-May into early June for our younger teams teams. Tryouts for our older teams are usually conducted in the Fall, around the middle of October through early November. 

Tryouts happen each year, and allow teams to replace players who have dropped off or who have moved on. Tryouts also provide ambitious. talented players, not currently with FC Westchester, the chance to join a stronger, more competitive club like FC Westchester. 

The announcement of our tryouts will be made via this website. Player selections are made without regard to race, religion, creed, color, national or ethnic origin.
