For the 2000 and 2001/02 groups: These groups will be part of our Pre-Academy Training Team Program. The pool of players selected via the tryouts for the 2000 age group and the 2001/02 age groups will be offered high-level, professional training three days per week in the fall and spring and one day per week in the winter. Players can attend one, two or three practice sessions per week during the fall/spring. Players in these pools will also play in a limited number of games during the fall and spring and play in one or two indoor tournaments during the winter.

The program is designed to be a supplement to the player’s home club program and as such, the players are strongly encouraged in the 2000 and 2001/02 age groups to play with their local club teams that participate in the Westchester Youth Soccer League, East Hudson Youth Soccer League or similar.

About Our Tryouts

FC Westchester holds open tryouts each year for all our teams.

Tryouts allow teams to replace players who have dropped off or who have moved on. Tryouts also provide ambitious. talented players, not currently with FC Westchester, the chance to join a stronger, more competitive club like FC Westchester, a club designated by the U.S. Soccer Soccer Federation to be a U.S. Soccer Development Academy program.  (For information on what it means to be designated a U.S. Soccer Development Academy program CLICK HERE.)

Player selections are made without regard to race, religion, creed, color, national or ethnic origin.
