Purchase, N.Y. (May 22) -- Brian "Cobi" Span tallied two goals to lead the FC Westchester U18 U.S. Soccer Development Academy squad to a 3-0 win over NJSA 04 Saturday afternoon at Purchase College.

Span opened the scoring in the first ten minutes, then scored again later in the half.  Hiroki Kobayashi closed out the scoring midway through the second half.

In the U16 match, FCW gave up a goal at the end of the first half, but then came back to tie the match at 1-1 on a goal 10 minutes into the second half by Andres Penfold off an assist from Steven Arraiano.  But NJSA scored off a corner kick in the 70th minute to take the win.

Both the U16s and U18s take on FC Delco Sunday in 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. matches before heading down to Sarasota, Florida for the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Showcase being held May 28-June 1 at the Sarasota Polo Grounds.  There they will take on the San Diego Surf, Colorado Rush and Ohio Elite.
