About the FC Westchester Premier Soccer Club
Home of the 2000 Under 16 and 1996 U20 National Champions

FC Westchester is a premier level soccer club based in Westchester County, NY that provides a unique opportunity for serious, skilled and dedicated soccer players. Designated a U.S. Soccer Development Academy by the United States Soccer Federation, the Club was formed in 1984 as a non-profit organization by Coach Al Pastore, who went on to be a national Youth Coach of the Year and is now in the Eastern NY Soccer Hall of Fame.

The primary mission of FC Westchester is to provide its players with the opportunity to compete at the highest level of competition throughout the United States. We have U11-U20 boys’ teams and a U14 girls’ team.

On the boys’ side, our U13-U17 teams play in the Super Y League, considered the "Premiership" of youth soccer leagues, as well as in other premier leagues. Our youngest teams play in the Westchester Youth Soccer League (WYSL). Our oldest boys play in the United Soccer Leagues’ USL Super-20 League.  On the girls’ side, our girls play in the WYSL.

The advanced level of competition provides FC Westchester players with exposure to college recruitment and the opportunity to obtain needed scholastic financial aid and scholarships. In fact, FCW maintains its own scholarship fund to further assist its players.

Since the program reaches far beyond the soccer field, an equal emphasis is placed on academic achievements. A strong sense of responsibility, self-discipline, teamwork, communication and work ethic are fostered and serve to benefit the club’s young men and women later in life.

Many FC Westchester alumni have been recruited to Division I colleges and some players have moved on to play professionally in the MLS and in England.

Players now play or have played at such top schools as St. Johns, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Rhode Island, Monmouth University, George Washington University, Manhattan College, Northwestern, Providence College, UMass, Southern Connecticut, Duke, Wisconsin, Boston University, N.C. State, Georgetown, Delaware, Iona, Fordham, Clemson, Boston College and Franklin Pierce, among others. (Click on this site’s College Pipeline link for more information.)
