FC Westchester Squad Invited to Play Against U.S. U15 National Team Camp Participants
A squad comprised of FC Westchester 1993s and 94s has been invited to play a team comprised of players participating in this week's U15 U.S. National Team Camp in New Jersey. The match against the national camp players will be held on Friday evening, June 19 at the PDA Soccer Complex in Zarepath, N.J. Kickoff is at 8:30 p.m.
U.S. Under-15 Boy's National Team head coach Jim Barlow kicked off a week-long training camp on Sunday, June 14, as 48 players gathered in Zarephath. The camp coincides with the U-17 MNT training camp which takes place at the same time at the PDA training facilities.
The national camp is one of the final U-15 events for players born in 1994. The U-15 BNT recently returned from a week-long stint in Moenchengladbach, Germany, where they trained at the home of Bundesliga side Borussia Moenchenglabach and had daily visits with Men’s National Team midfielder Michael Bradley.
All players called into camp are eligible to participate in the 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup. U-17 coaches will be evaluating '94s for the next cycle of U.S. Soccer's Residency Program.
