Carillo and Levene Called Into National Team Camps

FC Westchester's Scott Levene and Gianni Carillo are among players called into the U14 and U15 National Team training camps being held in Zarepath, N.J.

Levene is one of 48 players called into a U-15 Boys’ National Team camp. being held from June 14-21.  Head coach Jim Barlow will lead the team through two training sessions per day, along with friendly matches against local club teams (including FC Westchester) and the U-14 BNT during the week. The group is made up exclusively of players born in 1995, making them all age-eligible for the 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup. Six players participating in the camp have recently completed the Spring 2010 Semester at the U.S. U-17 MNT Residency Program.

Carillo is one 38 players called into the U14 camp under head coach Manny Schellscheidt at the training grounds of PDA. A total of 38 players, all born in 1996, will train twice daily while participating in scrimmages against local club teams. The training camp will be the last under Schellscheidt for players born in 1996, with the annual Identification Camp scheduled for early August. That 120 player camp will feature players born in 1997, as the 1996 age group will then move up to the U-15 Boy’s National Team.
